For South Africans living abroad, the essence of home often resides in memories, familiar flavours and occasionally, cheering on our beloved Bokke, Bafana and other teams. This November, Brand South Africa is bringing a special slice of that Mzansi spirit to Cardiff. We’re inviting you to reconnect with the motherland and celebrate our nation on the global stage.

On Friday 28 November 2025, a day before the highly anticipated Springboks versus Wales game, Brand South Africa will host a premier event in Cardiff. Bring a plus one and show them what it truly means to be South African as we showcase our sporting excellence, rich culture and culinary heritage. Welcome, Global South Africans – this is your new home.

Why this event matters to you, our Global South Africans

This gathering is an opportunity to immerse yourself in South African camaraderie and feel that strong sense of belonging, no matter how far you are from home. There’s great value in our diaspora, and this event serves as a platform to:

• Reconnect with your roots: Experience the sounds of a live marimba band and acoustic duo, savour the unmistakable taste of South African beers like Castle Lager and exquisite Stellenbosch wines, and indulge in a seated lunch featuring beloved dishes.
• Celebrate national pride: We’ll be applauding South Africa’s excellence across sports, arts and culture.
• Engage with sporting legends: Picture a captivating fireside chat or panel discussion featuring South African and Welsh sporting icons.
• Empower your role as an ambassador: You’ll be able to stand proud as a Global South African – our new initiative that celebrates our culture with South Africans living abroad.

A dedicated Global South Africans registration booth will be featured at the event, offering attendees a direct pathway to becoming part of our network. By signing up, you’ll form a deeper sense of community while also connecting with fellow South Africans around the world and celebrating our achievements. You’ll get to share in the inspiring success stories of our people.
